🍽️ Are You Going Out to Dinner Tonight… or Starting Something New in 2026?

This year, I’m inviting you to try something different: Dinner parties.

Wait, what? Are dinner parties even a thing anymore?

Yes, yes they are. Yet they aren’t the dinner parties of the past.

They are gathering for connection—not perfection.
They are great meals without huge spreads or elaborate tables that feel like a magazine photo shoot.
The are the not-necessarily-an-occasion dinner party.

It’s about being together. That’s it.

🥂 The Truth About Going Out to Dinner

Let’s be honest—going out to dinner with friends does have its perks.
You don’t have to cook.
You don’t have to do the dishes.

But what are the trade-offs?

More expensive – Food, drinks, tax, and tips add up fast 💸
Waiting times – Long waits for tables and food ⏳
Crowds & noise – Hard to relax or actually talk 😵‍💫
Limited control over ingredients – Tough for allergies or special diets ⚠️
Portion disappointment – Either too small… or way too much 🍴
Inconsistent quality – Amazing one visit, “meh” the next 🤷‍♀️
Scheduling stress – Reservations, traffic, parking 🚗
Health trade-offs – More salt, fat, and sugar than you realize 🧂

Sound familiar?

✨ Why Not Start Something New This Year?

What if instead of fighting reservations and splitting checks, you invited friends into your home?

Now—before your brain jumps to “That sounds like a lot of work”—pause.

I hear you.
I get it.
And that’s exactly why I created my Dinner Party Plans.

Each plan includes:

  • A full menu
  • Easy-to-follow recipes
  • Table-setting ideas

  • Shortcut versions and “go all in” versions of every recipe

My goal is to take the planning off your plate so you can actually enjoy the evening—with your guests.

There are two ways to get the plans:

I’m the creator behind a growing collection of dinner party eCookbooks filled with approachable menus, easy recipes, and simple hosting ideas for real life. Whether you’re planning a casual get-together, a cozy seasonal dinner, or just looking for fresh recipe inspiration, my goal is to help you create meals that feel thoughtful, flavorful, and doable. I live in Wyomissing Hills, Pennsylvania with my husband, Bill—my biggest supporter and very willing taste tester. I’m also an Independent Consultant with Pampered Chef , a role I’ve loved for nearly 30 years because it allows me to help make cooking easier and more enjoyable with tools that truly work. When I’m not creating recipes or planning my next dinner party menu, you’ll usually find me watching hockey, mixing a great cocktail, or spending time with my poodle. Most of the recipes and entertaining ideas you’ll find here are designed to be simple, flavorful, and approachable—because I believe gathering people around the table should feel joyful, not overwhelming.
